Adam Ant News - Be prepared folks. The Adam Ant Blog maybe coming..

We can reveal that Essential Works, the company behind Adam's management are currently testing pages to bring us the Adam Ant Blog.

This blog will not be part of adam-ant.net, but hosted with the Essential Works banner on their own web space. The test pages currently indicate that there will be an RSS feed and the possibility of podcasts.

However, since this report was published Adam's management have confirmed to me that any future Adam Ant blog would be published via adam-ant.net and not as part of the Essential Works site. It was also made clear that the page had not been approved and were not meant to be public.

The test page just had content in Latin, which is used in the publishing industry as a space filler (place holder text). There were also two links to adam-ant.net and Music For A Future Age (ironically the "only Ants blog") and a comment from yours truly, but it was awaiting moderation at this time.

It should be made clear that the initial information regarding this "news" was not obtained in any illegal means, as the pages were in the public domain. As a result, they were picked up by visiting 'web crawlers' such as Google and an automated alert was sent to me.

I decided not to link to the test pages as it was obvious they were just that. In retrospect, I should have contacted Essential Works for comment and for failing to do so, I apologise to them. However, I view the possibility of a planned Adam Ant blog newsworthy and still would have run with this article.
