Ant News - A brand new Ant forum and site is about to be launched on the Anternet.

It has been meticulously planned for months and tomorrow, 17th May, at 1pm (GMT), thefamilyofnoise.com goes live! (That's 2pm in the UK, 3pm Central European Time and 9am Eastern Standard Time.

The launch date is also the same day as the birthday of Amy Hankins, the creator of AntComics!, who has granted the team full permission to use her cartoons as part of the FoN's look.

So what's all this about a team? The FoN Team comprises of over 12 "Antpeople who collaborated their effort, time and talent to make the Family of Noise website and forum a reality".

The FoN Team also comprises of smaller specialist teams assigned with specific tasks to ensure The Family Of Noise website and forum becomes the #1 Ant location on the web. And judging from the sneak previews I've seen, cartrouble.nl will have its work cut out keeping up!

Whereas this place is a one-man-band, the FoN has website and forum administrators, forum moderators, a website content team, a tech team, a news team (bring it on!), a design team, a finance team and even a PR/merchandising team! So who are the dirty dozen? There's a "Meet the Team" link on the site to find out.

The site boasts a first class discography page that gives this site's page a run for its money. The "Ant-O-Graphy" section also houses "Videography", "Bibliography" and "Theatre" pages. Not to mention what promises to be the most comprehensive breakdown of Adam and his various Ants of days gone by.

The team have also secured an interview with a person so synonymous with Ant history that every Ant fan will be very familiar with his name. If that's a taster of what is to come from The Family Of Noise, then Ant Fandom has just entered a new era.

The FoN forum and site has much more to offer than I could possibly mention here, and even though thefamilyofnoise.com has been painstakingly built over the past two months or more, the team will no doubt look back with pride at their achievements.

The Family Of Noise site and forum are both launched on Saturday 17th May 2008, at 9am (EST) in the USA, 3pm in Central Europe, and 2pm...in Croydon.
