AntFest 2007 News
- Organisers of THE Ant event of the summer have announced some important and
very welcome changes to the band listings.
UK band Ligotage now top the bill under their
new name Antmuzic after Seattle based Ant-combo Antz Invazion had
to pull out of the event due to 'logistical problems'.
Mantra II have
announced that Terry Lee Miall will now be joined on stage by a
second drummer. UK Ant tribute acts Antflavour and Kings Of The Wild
Frontier are also lined up to perform.
Another ex-Ant on the bill is Kevin Mooney
in the guise of The Lavender Pill Mob with Gary Asquith
(formerly of Rema Rema and Renegade Soundwave).
Sangeeta and Happy Millionaire (formerly The 11th Hour) make up the seven
acts. That's
7 bands on the
7 day of the 7 month in
2007.
The event will be hosted by
Carty, as will the AntFest
aftershow disco in the club next door to the venue.
AntFest
takes place on Saturday 7th July 2007 at 17:30 at the Barfly in
Birmingham, UK. Tickets are priced at
£19.95 from www.ticketweb.co.uk.
