ANTFEST 2007

AntFest 2007

A brand new Ant event is coming in the summer of 2007, featuring SEVEN live acts.  Branded by organisers Alexa as a festival showcasing the best Antmusic tribute acts in the world.

Representing the UK's Antmusic tastes, both Antmuzic and Antflavour live on stage!  Also, Mantra II take to the stage with their new guitarist, Undadogz. Also added to the bill are the Happy Millionaire (ft Gawp and Steve Ant), Punk'd, and Kings Of The Wild FrontierAntFest 2007 will be seamlessly MC'd by Carty.  Additional DJ'ing duties are expected from Carty and ex-Ant Kevin Mooney. Further details are expected from adam-ant.net and Alexa, but in the meantime, here's the latest info (subject to confirmation)

When is it?

5:30PM, July 7th 2007

Where is it?

The Barfly, 78 Digbeth High St., Birmingham, UK.  B5 6DY.

Also the Barfly will holding the After Show Party, which be an Ant Disco taking you into the early hours with Carty on the decks!

What is it?

AntFest 2007 is best described (by me anyway) as the ultimate live Antmusic event.  After so many fans wanted to see live acts perform at the autumn convention, this brand new event surpasses all expectations with EIGHT live acts.

Here's the running order (this is subject to change):

Carty DJ Set (www.myspace.com/cartrouble)
Happy Millionaire
(www.myspace.com/happymillionaire)
Kings Of The Wild Frontier (www.myspace.com/kingsofthewildfrontiertribute)
Punk'd (http://www.myspace.com/punkd77)
Antflavour (www.myspace.com/antflavour)
Mantra II (www.myspace.com/mantra2)
Antmuzic (www.myspace.com/antmuzicuk)
Carty
& Kevin Mooney Aftershow Party

In between these live bands, the crowd will be entertained by the event's master of ceremonies (MC), Carty (www.myspace.com/cartrouble).

Plus there's an aftershow AntFest Disco in the Barfly with Carty on the wheels of steel in one room, and Kevin Mooney in the other room..

How do I get there?

Birmingham International Airport is just 6 miles (10 km) away, along the A45.  The Barfly is also very close to Birmingham New Street railway station (a very short walk).  You can view the street map here
(Head down Digbeth High St., the venue is on the left before the Custard Factory.)

What about tickets?

Tickets are priced at £19.95 from www.ticketweb.co.uk.  There is a delivery charge of £1.65 to the UK and overseas, but there is no charge if you collect them from the box office (credit card and signature required).
